On 29 of September 2015 the main stakeholders of the maritime spatial planning (MSP) are coming together to discuss the transboundary issues of the MSP on the Baltic Sea.

Even though the project is already launched and is in full speed, both cases – Southwest Baltic and Central Baltic – will be presented during the kick-off event  as well as the international experience from other sea basins will be shared.

In the afternoon, participants will split in four groups according to the topics which have been chosen within the cases as priorities – energy, fisheries, shipping and environment, at the same time discussing the methods of six approaches used in MSP. The main goal of the workshops is to discuss common issues within the topics and come up with recommendations for the further steps.

It is the first time when the main stakeholders of the MSP in each country around the Baltic Sea come together to discuss cross-border issues, identify the hot spots and come up with the real solutions for those issues.
